Welcome to Braves Girl Blog! Braves Girl Blog, formerly Catcher’s Blog, is a Braves blog owned and maintained by a Braves girl, Leah. She is from Southern Georgia, USA and has been a Braves fan most of her 22 years of living. She is known as a Braves fanatic and a “walking encyclopedia” by her friends and family.

My favorite players include Brian McCann, Nate McLouth, Matt Diaz, Jair Jurrjens, Tommy Hanson, Kris Medlen, David Ross, Tim Hudson, and so on. I really don’t dislike anyone on the team, though.

The blog was previously Catcher’s Corner, and then Catcher’s Blog. Braves Girl Blog is hosted by the reliable 1and1.com and the domain name was purchased from there as well. I’ve had nothing but a great experience with 1and1.com. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good hosting company.

Braves Girl Blog is willing to exchange links with other sites/blogs as long as the site requests permission and the site is at least somewhat related to baseball. I will accept other team blogs as well, they do not have to be Braves-related. If you are interested in exchanging links, please contact me.

I’m not sure that I will select anymore advertising opportunities other than the ones I already have currently. I get e-mails about this from various sites. I, myself, do not like a site with a lot of ads and, to me, too many ads on a site take away from the site’s content and design, making the site look cluttered. I’m not saying that I won’t consider it if someone does offer it, I’m just saying that I probably won’t accept the offer. Feel free to e-mail me offers for advertising baseball-related things if you wish and we’ll see.

Braves Girl Blog runs on the wonderful WordPress blogging platform. The current theme layout on Braves Girl Blog was coded and designed by me from scratch with the exception of a few resources I used, which are mentioned below. Please do not steal anything under any circumstances. I worked really hard and spent a lot of time on this theme and site to get it just like I want it. This theme was designed and coded for use on this site only. Whether or not I’ll release it for public use in the future, I do not know.

White Ice Theme Details:

The Paisley-style pattern used on the header was made by kevinandamanda.com.
The header and footer graphics were made by me in Photoshop 7 and Paint Shop Pro 8.
Fonts used in this theme are Antipasto, Georgia, and Arial.
The bullet arrow graphic used in lists was made by me.
The social network icons are from Komodo Media.
The RSS Feed icon is from Icojoy.com.
