Casey and sister Christal Kotchman I happened to be browsing through my Google Alerts this morning and saw this story done on Casey Kotchman and his family. The story talks about the terrible experience that his family went through last year when his mom suffered a brain hemorrhage. The story talks about the family’s point of view and gives everyone a little more insight into just how scary and bad the situation was. The story mainly focuses on Casey’s younger sister, Christal, who is in her senior year at college and on the college’s softball team. It’s really good story and it really does make you realize that everyday you have is a blessing.

In the end, Kotchman’s mom turned out to be fine, but I’m sure that that wasn’t the outlook when it  first happened. I know that had to a hard thing to go through. I can somewhat relate to knowing how it feels to watch a loved one suffer; only his mom survived. It’s really good that the situation brought his close family even closer, as in times like those, it’s hard to stay positive. Kotchman’s ordeal kind of hits home for me in a way, so I’m sorry if I sound overly sympathetic.
