Braves Mother’s Day Memories
The Braves official site has a featured story on Casey Kotchman’s family situation last year, much like this story that I posted a few days ago. This particular story written by Braves beat writer, Mark Bowman, is more from his mom’s point of view of the entire situation and her thoughts on what happened and what could have happened. It’s a very touching story and I’m really glad to hear that she’s doing so well.
Also, for the MLB Mother’s Day “postcards” that every team in baseball features each year, this year the Braves chose to feature MattE. I’m not sure how the selection process works, though, so I’m not sure how they choose the players they feature each year exactly. MattE’s postcard message is quite cute.

On that note, I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. I’m sure we’ll see some pink bats being used and sweat bands being worn by numerous players tomorrow throughout MLB. I wonder which Braves players will choose to do this, as the players that show their support tends to vary each year. I’m sure the Braves players won’t disappoint.
