Mac hasn’t really talked on camera about his eye problems, but while in Myrtle Beach for two rehab-assignment games, he finally gives some insight into what he’s going through on camera for the local news media. There’s also a story by CarolinaLive to go with the video.

Mac looks weird in any other jersey than the Braves’ jerseys that we’re used to seeing him in. How fitting that he has Glavine’s number? Apparently, Mac will be DH’ing while he’s in Myrtle Beach and will hit third in the order. He looks so defeated when talking about the whole thing, but I’m glad he’s trying to overcome it and not let it get to him. The contacts he was given earlier this week seem to be making his vision better, which is what everyone wants to hear. Let’s all hope that Mac is ready to be back on the field next Friday, May 8th, when he’s eligible to come off the DL.
